Three different guidelines are specified, one for general products (hereinafter a set of guidelines for general products shall be referred to as Guidelines Set I), another for energy-using products(hereinafter referred to as Guidelines Set II), and another for various energy-using products under different use scenarios (hereinafter referred to as Guidelines Set III).

2.3  Guidelines Set I sets rules on calculation of GHG emissions associated with non-energy using products that do not consume energy when in use.

2.4  Guidelines Set II sets rules on calculation of GHG emissions associated with energy-using products that consume energy when in use.

2.5  Guidelines Set III sets rules on calculation of GHG emissions associated with energy-using products under different use scenarios and energy consumption pattern, of which the calculation method is not specified in Guidelines Set II.

  • Article 3 (Emissions factors for carbon footprint) Emissions factors for carbon
footprint labeling, as well as waste statistics, used for calculating the GHG emissions for products will be posted on the Carbon Footprint Label website of the Korea Environmental Industry and echnology Institute at www.edp.or.kr after approval of the director of KEITI.
